Terms of service

Effective October 1, 2026

These terms govern use of Milanus MultiApp by a Shopify merchant. By installing or using the app, the merchant confirms that it is authorized to configure the connected store and accepts these terms.

Merchant responsibilities

The merchant is responsible for the accuracy and legality of customer tags, custom prices, badge content, phone-gate disclosures, SMS-recovery messages, and imported CSV data. The merchant must obtain any consent required by applicable law. Carrier registration is required before enabling SMS messaging, but the Lookup-only mobile validation does not send a message.

Safe operation

Imports use stable Shopify resource IDs, a validated preview, and explicit application. The merchant should test pricing, discounts, currencies, taxes, theme presentation, and checkout in a development store before live activation. The app intentionally falls back to Shopify's regular variant price when no valid custom price exists and blocks checkout when required verification or pricing safeguards fail.

Saved account carts

When enabled, cart changes made by a signed-in shopper are saved automatically for that Shopify customer account. On page load, saved variants and quantities merge with the current browser cart instead of replacing it. The merchant should disclose this behavior and keep the configured retention period appropriate for its business and privacy obligations.

Availability and changes

Service depends on Shopify, hosting, network, and Twilio availability. Features may be changed to maintain security, platform compatibility, or legal compliance. The app must not be used to bypass Shopify platform rules, send unsolicited messages, or process unlawful content.

Merchant-owned Twilio account

Mobile validation uses the merchant's own Twilio account and API key. Twilio charges that account directly under its own terms. The app's daily lookup cap is a request limit, not a monetary limit, and includes connection tests and failed or timed-out requests. When the limit is reached or the provider is unavailable, an entered number is saved and queued for background validation so the shopper can continue. The merchant may adjust the cap or disable the requirement in Settings. Lookup results do not prove ownership or guarantee that a number is reachable; this connection does not enable SMS sending.

Suspension and termination

The merchant may stop using the service by uninstalling the app. Access may be limited for abuse, security threats, nonpayment of required third-party services, or material violation of these terms. Applicable Shopify privacy webhooks and the app's retention controls govern deletion.
